My relationship with Clients

  • Yelena Vaysburd, CPA normally gives the first 30 minutes of a free consultation to my new clients.

  • 1. All money-related issues are to be settled with new clients up-front so, my new clients would know what to expect.

    2. All new clients are required to sign my billing policy, so they confirm that they read and understood it well and will follow it to have a productive relationship.

    3. I am asking my new clients for a deposit (specified in the engagement letter) to start working on your project or question.

  • 1. My services and/or project will be discussed in an engagement letter, as well as other details of our contracts. The engagement letter is to be signed by the client and myself.

    2. I send my invoice to clients twice a month on the 16th and the last day of the month for the services performed in the 1st and 2nd half of the month.

    3. All payments are due within 15 days. After 15 days you start to accumulate a finance charge of 1.5 % per month.

    4. Clients with a poor payment record will be treated as new clients and a deposit will be expected from them to start working on the project.

    5. Invoices for the project completed are sent after the project is done. A $500 deposit is expected on a project.

    6. When I need to come to the client's location, my travel time is included in my billable time at my standard rate (limited to 2hrs. per visit).

    7. I require 24 hours cancellation policy for an appointment made. I'd like my clients to remember that I allocate time for them and I would like them to be serious about their commitments because I am serious about mine. If you'd not cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance you'll be billed for the time allocated to you.

    8. I am asking my clients to be on time for appointments and be prepared to use my time and their money efficiently.

    9. Some of the projects that would result in a value-added to the client's business and/or his financial position will be calculated as a percentage of the value. This is billing based on a value practice. It will be discussed with the client in advance.
